Researching and Preserving the History of Daniel Haston's Extensive Family
Three Counties in Middle Tennessee - The Haston Homeland
People often ask me a question like this, “My Haston great-grandfather came from White (or Warren, or Van Buren) County, TN, are we related?”
My immediate response, without asking any questions: “Yes, definitely.”
In fact, the odds are very good if you have “Haston” in your ancestry, regardless of where you live in the United States, that you are* a descendant of Daniel Haston who settled in what was then White County, TN in about 1804. It’s a BIG FAMILY, with cousins in almost all or all USA states.
*There are a few Haston families in the United States who do not descend from Daniel Haston, but their earliest American family roots were not planted in Middle TN soil.
Many of our Daniel Haston cousins, with Haston Homeland roots, spell their names Hastin, Hasting, Hastings, Hastain, etc.
