Ortsmuseum Richterswil prepared a special Hiestand exhibit for us, with photos, maps, documents, etc. The local museum Richterswil in the venerable “Haus zum Bären”, (House of the Bear) a standing building from 1749, owns a treasure of drawings and engravings from the 18th and 19th centuries.

Sturdy carriage horses ay Ballenberg Open Air Museum. Visitors otherwise walk miles viewing old Swiss homes & architecture.

World famous bakery founded by Fredy Hiestand. We ate lunch there.
